Another Win For The B's

Yesterday afternoon the Bruins beat the Islanders 3-2, and some players really stepped up for the Bruins. David Krejci, Milan Lucic, and Marc Savard were the three goal scorers for the Bruins. Tim Thomas made thirty seven saves, and he had another strong performance yesterday, following the win in the shootout against the Leafs.

The Bruins didn't have their best game yesterday, but they were able to get a win, and that's what matters at the end of the day. Tim Thomas is starting to look more like the Thomas we saw last year. Thomas only allowed one goal that he would like to have back, when Josh Bailey scored against him early in the second period, but besides that Thomas had a great performance. Another player who I thought played a good game, and didn't get enough credit was Dennis Wideman, he played one of his best games in months, and boy was he ever due for a good game. The third period wasn't a good period for the Bruins, it seemed like they started out good, but then they sort of died out as the period went on, and ran out of energy. Even though it seemed like they ran out of energy they still got the win, and that is all the Bruins need right now. Its not about style points, its about the scoreboard at the end of the game.

The Bruins have won six out of the last seven, and the last two they barley hung on to beat two bad teams. So the Bruins will be tested today when they face off against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Yesterday was a good start to the seven game road trip, lets hope they continue to keep getting the wins, and punch their ticket into the playoffs.
