The West Coast Trip

The Celtics opened up the second half of the year by going on a tough four game road trip. They had to play the Kings, Lakers, Trail Blazers, and the Nuggets. The Celtics ended up going three and one on the trip, which was better then most people thought they were going to do. Also they didn't play with newly acquired point guard Nate Robinson the last three games of the trip.

There was a lot of question marks coming out of the all-star break for the Celtics, so it was important that they came from the break playing well, which they did. Ray Allen is playing much better, and that has really helped this team, and Kevin Garnett is starting to play better also, he is looking like he is getting healthy again. Garnett is staring to go on the low post more, which is good because he is more effective when he does that, and its a good sign the knee is feeling better. The only bad thing about this trip is that Paul Pierce hurt his thumb against the Lakers, and is playing really bad with the injury. He should sit out this week, because the Celtics need him to play like he was at the beginning of the season, before he had the knee surgery. It is important the Celtics stay healthy for the rest of the season, because they are starting to get healthier and are looking like a much better team. Doc Rivers is doing a great job this year keeping the big threes minutes down, he needs to continue doing that, so they are not burnt out and tired by the time the postseason comes. Hopefully the Celtics can continue to win, so they can climb up a couple of places in the Eastern Conference, and make a good run in the playoffs.
